【摘要】:ThispartofIEC62481specifiestheDLNAmediaformatprofilesapplicabletoIEC62481-1.Mediaformatprofilesaredefinedforeachofthefollowingmediaclasses:audio,image,andAV.Inaddition,profileIDvaluesthatidentifymediacollectionsandprinterXHTMLdocumentsarealsointroduced.Itisenvisionedthatinthehomenetworkenvironment,deviceswillbecapableofexchangingcontentitemsthatoriginatefromdifferentsources.Contentitemswilltypicallycomeencodedindifferentformats.Theterm"format"designatesthecompressionandencodingtoolsutilizedtogeneratethebinaryinstanceofacontentitem,whichwillbeeventuallyexchangedoverthehomenetworkusingstreamingorfiletransferprotocols.ExamplesofformatsincludeMPEG-2,MPEG-4,WMVandothersforvideo;orMP3,AAC,WMAandothersforaudio.Formatsalone,however,includeaspartoftheirspecifications,multipleparameters,featuresandtoolswhichcanbeusedinamyriadofcombinationstogeneratecontentbinaries.Inthisstandard,thenotionofaformatprofileisintroducedtoidentifyaparticularsuitablecombinationofformatparameterswhichdefineawayforrepresentingcontentbinaries.AformatlikeMPEG-2,forexample,canhavemultipleprofilesdependingonselectionsforthecompanionaudio,thesystem-layermultiplexingspecifications,allowedframeresolutions,allowedaspectratios,allowedbitrates,etc.Thisstandardprovidesaquasi-exhaustivelistofbroadly-usedformatprofilesforimage,audio,andAVformats.Foreachparticularformatprofile,thisstandarddefinesaprofileIDtexttokentobeusedduringtheDLNAmediadiscoveryandmediatransferoperations.TheprofileIDisexposedinaserver'scontentdirectoryservice(CDS)tosignaltopotentialnetworkedplayersorrendererstheexistenceofacontentitemwithparticularcodingandcompressionfeaturesdefinedpreciselybytheitem'sprofileID.ThisstandardalsodescribestheusesofformatprofileswhichdefinemediacollectionsandprinterXHTMLdocuments.Thenumberofpotentialcombinationsforsuitableprofilesbecomeslargeratherquickly,asevidencedbythelongprofilelistsobservedinthedifferentsectionsofthisstandard.Consequently,thisstandardintroducesthenotionofmandatoryprofiles,supportedbyalldevices,asameanstoprovidebaselinecontentinteroperabilityinthehome.Servershavetobecapableofexposingandtransferringmandatoryprofileswhileplayersandrenderershavetobecapableofdecodingandrenderingthemandatoryprofiles.Unfortunately,mandatoryformatprofilescannotbedefineduniversallytosuitallscenarios.Forthisreason,thedefinitionofmandatoryprofilesismadetakingintoaccountthegeographicalregionandthetargetdevicecategory.
